Goodbye, Midwest

today is my last day in ohio before i head back to syracuse. the snow has all melted, but the grey skies and bare trees retain the beauty and loneliness of winter. so, while i sit at the kitchen table staring out the window, i bid farewell to the midwest: a place which i sometimes hate, but will always love.
